Design & Technology

We have been designing our own toys that move in some way. Some of us made balloon cars, kites, propellers and someone even made a propeller boat.

We designed our toy first and worked out what materials we needed to make them. After that we got to make our toys. 

We realised that our toys didn't work very well at first, so we had to change our designs a little bit to make them work better.

Here are some of our fantastic innovations.                                        

                  

Zahir made a balloon car. His car
worked very well. He now wants to see
if he put another balloon on top going
in the other direction, whether it
would make his car go around in
circles.

Maddy made a kite. She added
3 more strings to her kite to
make it fly better.

Phoenix made a kite. His kite didn't
fly very well so he added 3 more
strings to his kite. Now it flies
very well.

James made a propeller boat. He
worked very hard at making his boat
stronger and making sure the
propellers could turn around.

Ruby made a balloon car. Ruby
needed to make some changes so
the wheels would stay on her car.

Bella made a propeller. Her
propeller didn't spin very well so
she added some more straws to her
design. It spins really well now.
